    Foundation coursework and prerequisites

An undergraduate business degree is not required for admission to the online MBA program. Approximately one-third of students enter the program with no prior business coursework. However, foundation-level proficiency in the major functional areas of business is required to be successful in the program. These include accounting, economics, statistics, management and marketing.

UWF offers accelerated MBA foundation courses for applicants to meet the foundational proficiencies necessary to begin MBA core courses. This series of 1.5 credit hour intensive modules covers essential foundational knowledge in each of the prerequisite business subjects. For more information about this option, please call 877-588-2502.

Another option is GEB 5535 MBA Foundations—a 3 credit hour, 7-week all-inclusive prerequisite course that is graded on a satisfactory-unsatisfactory basis.
