Refund Policy

  • Dropped courses are courses removed from your schedule before the fee payment deadline

Refunds are calculated by determining the point in the semester that the student either drops or withdraws. The calculation is also based on whether the student drops or withdraws from all courses or individual courses.

Refunds During the Drop/Add Period

100% of tuition is refunded for each credit hour dropped during the drop/add period. The refund is applied to any financial aid that was disbursed to the student if the drop results in a change to enrollment status. If the amount of the refund does not cover the amount owed to financial aid, the student will be billed for the difference.

Foundation course work and prerequisites

An undergraduate business degree is not required for admission to the online MBA program. Approximately one-third of students enter the program with no prior business course work. However, foundation-level proficiency in the major functional areas of business is required to be successful in the program. These include accounting, economics, statistics, management, and marketing.

UWF offers accelerated MBA foundation courses for applicants to meet the foundational proficiencies necessary to begin MBA core courses. This series of 1.5-credit-hour intensive modules covers essential foundational knowledge in each of the prerequisite business subjects. For more information about this option, please call 877-588-2502.

Another option is GEB 5535 MBA Foundations—a 3-credit hour, 7-week all-inclusive prerequisite course that is graded on a satisfactory-unsatisfactory basis.
